MAINE SCRAPBOOKING STUDIO 2013

  Welcome to my Studio.       The Winter session will begin on Tuesday January the 29th. 

The Studio has seating for 8 classmates. Each of you will have your own 3x 4 foot table to spread out on.  If you haven't stopped over to check out the studio you should know it has been set up as a workshop. There are 8 Cricut machines, over 200 cartridges, over a thousand paper punches, tons of stamps. idea books, die cutting systems and so much more available on site for you to use while you crop. No need to pack all that heavy stuff just bring the projects you want to work on, your basic  scrapping kit,   and tools, like your cutter, adheasives, ruler, you know the things you can't scrap without.   Then come on over to join us for a a crop or class.

 Studio Schedule
January 2013. 
Tuesday night January 29th  Open crop  5:30 to 8:30 or 9         $10.00

 February 2013
Tuesdays the 5th. 12th,19th and 26th  open crops  5:30 to 8:30 or 9 pm $10.00

 
Friday nights   Feb. 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd Open crop   6 to 12am    15.00

Saturday  9th and the 23rd. 8 am to 6 pm A full day cropping (10 hours)   Coffee cart, lunch provided, snacks, and a goodie bag. Make n takes. $30

Classes will begin mid February  on Tuesday nights from 6pm to 8:30 or 9 pm.  $20.00

A Reel CATCH

Cricut's Camping Critters is one of my favorite cartridges. The characters are so much fun to design with.   This is an 8 inch tag that will be made into an album about fun times fishing with the family.

PUMPKIN PATCH JOURNALING POCKET

Here is a fun journaling pocket for you to write a special hidden message in  .Inside the pocket is one tag. You could very easily add a couple more tags with photos , tickets and special messages to an event like  a haunted hayride or a visit to the Pumpkin Patch or maze craze. I used a pattern from Little Scraps of Heaven called  Pumpkin Patch Fun.

PUBLISHED AGAIN YEAH

Four of the six Halloween bags I made for last year were published in Issue 5 of The Bug Magazine. These bags were all made with the Cricut.

BABY'S FIRST HALLOWEEN TREAT BAG

Tricia at Little Scraps of Heaven sent this file to me.what a nice surprize. As Halloween approaches each year I try to make up differant treat bags for my great nieces and nephews. thought this was perfect for the first bag of the season.The pattern is Baby's first Halloween.and can be found at http://www.littlescrapsofheaven.com/ Tricia has really wonderful patterns available.

With Halloween just around the corner.I thought it would be fun to try out one of the patterns that Lisa is offering at her new online store. http://www.pixiespiecings.com/

This  12 x 12 layout worked up quite fast.I use one of the 6 designs from the

Boo Crew pattern by PixiesPiecieings.

.The top photomat is double matted to highlight the best photo you take of your little Trick or Treater..

On the right side of the layout you have mats for three more photos or some journaling,

Girls Night Out

Pixies Piecings does it again. When I saw this Gazebo that Lisa Ralston designed I knew that I had to have the pattern. I can think of so many outside activities  where this piecing would fit perfectly. The pattern also features 4 adorable Pandas.

The Girls Night out two page layout has 5 photo/journaling mats available. How fun this would be with a close up of all the girls on thier fun night out. You could add individual photos on the 3 mats located on the 2nd layout. Journaling about where you  were and what a great time you had could be added to the last box.

For fun I hand tied coordinating buttons adding the to border strips and above the panda sitting in the chair.

TIME BEGAN IN A GARDEN

One of my favorite places to be is in my Garden. I love the colors,smells, butterflies and bees.One of my a favorite things to do there when I'm not knee deep in dirt is to sit back relax with a good book and watch the birds. Hummingbirds are facinating. This 2 page layout includes 6 of my very own designed butterflies, 2 tags with embossed and chalked hummies, a Hummingbird charm and 3 of the precious piecing hummingbirds from pattern # 224, as well as losts of flowers. I can hardly wait to take photos to finish off the layout.

MOTHERS DAY CARD

 

This is my Mum's real card.I used  pattern # 662 Busy Bee flying Pattern.It as 5 bees on it.The bees are 1 inch long. I reversed them so they appeared to be going in differant directions. It was alot of fun to make. Photos will be added to the front mats and inside as well.  Happy Mum's Day.

Info I wanted to share with you about this bookmark and all of the Precious piecing patterns . !st off they are all awesome. But most of you know that already.

They are the extreamly easy to piece together. The finished piece looks like it took you forever to make. Its our secret how quickly they work up.

 Next you can make them any size you want them to be. What this means to you is that when you buy a pattern  one size doesn't always fit all. Here, you are getting a terrific deal.Because one pattern can be sized to fit the project you have in mind  from really really tiny to really really large.

This bookmark is a good example of downsizing a pattern. The liitle brother is actually 1 1/4 inches small and the sheepdog is 1  5/8 inches small. Even small they pieced together quickly and kept thier detail.

I am posting 2 more photos for you to check out. Apoligies for the blurry one but I wanted you to see it up close FyI  the close up shows the boy and dog much larger than the actual pieces.  That's my pay it forward tip for the day. PIECE ON   DT Cindy

WELCOME SPRINGTIME BOOKMARK

Spring's a great time to get some reading in on those liquid sunshiny days. I figured it would be nice to have a new bookmark to brighten the moment.I used 3 patterns they are 690 tree, 741 Pedigree Sheepdog, and 761 Kids little brother.

PUDDLE JUMPING

What would Spring be without some good old fashioned Puddle Jumping. Puddle jumpig certainly makes it more fun. For this tag I used Pattern #371 Just Ducky.
